This Privacy Policy describes how MealFit ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MealFit mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account and use MealFit, we collect:

• Account information: name, email address, and phone number (if provided).
• Health and fitness information: height, weight, age, sex, activity level, dietary goals, and dietary preferences (e.g. halal, vegetarian, vegan, keto, gluten-free).
• Usage data: meal plans you generate, meals you like or dislike, shopping list interactions, and water intake tracking.
• Profile photo: if you choose to upload one.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Calculate your daily caloric and macronutrient targets.
• Generate personalized meal plans and shopping lists.
• Save your preferences and settings across sessions.
• Allow you to reset your password.
• Improve and maintain the App's functionality.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party backend service provider. Supabase stores data in the EU West region. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage and secure authentication. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

• Edit or delete your profile information at any time within the App.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Sign out of your account at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

MealFit uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
• Vercel — web hosting.

These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

MealFit is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
